Faraday School – East London Prep

Join one of the Faraday online open days on 2, 16 and 30 June for Q&A with the Head Teacher Clare Murdoch*.

Founded in 2009, Faraday school is a small but growing independent primary school in East London. The school’s riverside location provides a magical environment and access to the stimulating and creative community of Trinity Buoy Wharf. The stimulating location provides learning opportunities for both the pupils and staff.

Finding the right school for your child can be difficult. There are so many factors to consider and as a parent it can feel like you are the only one who really knows what your child needs. With growing class sizes, you might wonder if your children will get the attention they need. The narrowing of the, increasingly teach to test, curriculum means many schools are struggling to offer our children diversity of subjects.

A Unique Education

At Faraday school, the staff are committed to giving children an education focused on their unique personality. With smaller classes, they aim to inspire a love of learning so that students continue to enjoy exploring, growing and creating for their whole lives.

While there is a strong focus on literacy and numeracy one would expect with a prep school, their targeted approach enables each child to progress at their own level. The school’s lessons stretch, challenge and engage pupils of all abilities and interests. Faraday also includes lessons on real-life situations with a focus on financial management as part of the curriculum.

Students are exposed to inspiring works of literature, music and art as they gain a greater understanding of the world around them. Faraday supports young people to find their element with a broad and stimulating curriculum that includes specialist teaching in French, Music, Drama and Physical Education.

Children join Faraday at Reception class in their fifth year and leave for senior school at the age of eleven. The school day runs from 8.45 am until 3.30 pm, with private buses running before and after school from a range of East London locations. After school and breakfast clubs are available to support busy parents from as early as 8:15am and as late as 5:30pm. Children attending will get to explore a wide range of extra-curricular activities on offer from gardening to robotics.

You can contact Faraday from their Admissions and Open Days page to arrange a visit.
