Laura Williams, who we previously partnered with to bring you the very popular Pilates in the Park, has started a brand new Pilates Sculpt class in the Victoria Park area.

Every Wednesday evening from 7pm-8pm you can beat the midweek blues by toning up and strengthening your core at the Parkview Estate’s beautiful Glasshouse community centre (situated between Old Ford and Sewardstone Road).  Get in touch to redeem your THMs members 50% off the first 2 classes!

As well as being a qualified Pilates teacher, Laura is also a personal trainer qualified in pre-and-post natal fitness, so this is the perfect class for you if you’re looking to condition deep abdominal muscles safely, pre-or-post pregnancy.

*There are baby-changing facilities available at this venue, should you wish to bring your baby to class.

For Canary Wharf residents Laura runs Pilates Sculpt classes every Tuesday evening from 6:45pm.

And if you’re looking for a weekend, Bethnal Green-based Pilates class, she also runs a Saturday morning class from 9.30-10.30am.

What is Pilates Sculpt?

Pilates sculpt is the class for anyone who doesn’t want to have to choose between a workout and Pilates.

Pilates Sculpt takes the fundamentals of Pilates –postural alignment, stability, flexibility and strength – and incorporates these into a higher intensity session.

Laura includes traditional Pilates Matwork bodyweight exercises with moves using bands, tubes and core sliding discs, to mimic some of the Pilates Reformer moves. Pilates Sculpt focuses heavily on core muscles but also acts as a total body workout. Suitable for all levels, each class starts with a Pilates ‘refresher’ and all exercises can be modified to suit individual ability.

If the class timings don’t work out for you why not try Laura’s 1 to 1 personal training sessions where she can take you through the paces, matching the intensity to your fitness level and pushing you that bit further. Just the help you need to achieve your fitness goals.
