SpaceWorks Theatre Workshops

SpaceWorks performing arts workshops are designed to help 6 – 13 year olds foster creativity and build performance skills in a welcoming environment. Their mission is to empower young people to take charge and create their own work. Why not pop along and see if it’s right for your child? Nothing to lose with a free trial for THMs members.

Putting young people at the centre of what they do, children are encouraged to practice their new skills and apply them. Allowing autonomy for them to use their imagination to create ambitious, original performances to present to friends and family at the end of each term. Past performances have included an immersive Alice in Wonderland and a re-interpretation of Peter Pan called ‘Tales from Neverland’.

The SpaceWorks approach nurtures creative individuality and inspires children to develop their ideas in a supportive environment. Led by professional theatre artists, children are introduced to theatre skills like improvisation, storytelling, character work, physical comedy and teamwork. With confidence building in focus, your children will be allowed the space to be, to explore and to enjoy.

Space Cadets

The Cadets are the youngest members of the SpaceWorks Community Theatre company. Children aged 6-8 years work together to create exciting theatre pieces to perform to their friends and family.

Recent performances have included an interactive murder mystery, Christmas pantomime,  haunted houses, aliens, super-heroes and much more.

The next term will be inspired by the Isadora Moon series.

Youth Theatre

SpaceWorks Youth Theatre offers relaxed training in theatre and performance activities  for ages 9-13.  Previously, members have explored puppetry, mask work, script work, movement, song, costume design & making and set design.

The next term will be inspired by the Choose Kind  movement.

The sessions are a great place to learn new skills, make new friends and grow in confidence. Here is what previous participants have said about SpaceWorks workshops:

“I like this term because I made new friends and I can’t wait until next the next program!” SpaceWorks member, 6
