Mudchute on The Isle of Dogs is one of the largest city farms in London with a lively calendar of events and activities taking place throughout the year. Mudchute is now London’s only rare breed approved Conservation centre.

There’s lots to do in these 32 acres of countryside from horse riding, visiting the animals and simply going for a walk or a picnic in the green and pleasant surroundings.

Meet the Animals

Pigs, turkeys, goats, chickens, sheep and more all roam in the fields and would love you to come and say hi.

The smaller animals including rabbits, birds and guinea pigs can be found just next to the main courtyard in ‘Pets Corner’.

If you want to learn more about the Farm and the animals, please enquire about booking a Farm Tour. Tours last about an hour. Please email farm@mudchute.org ahead of your visit to find out about availability and prices.

The Stables

Mudchute Equestrian Centre has stabling for 25 horses and ponies. The all weather floodlit riding arena provides year round riding facilities and children from 7 can ride.

For more information call 020 7515 0749 or email stables@mudchute.org. All horse riding activity must be pre-booked.

Wetland Launch

Mudchute has recently launched a new and improved wetland area, restored with the help of Froglive and Tower Hamlets council.

Activities include pond dipping, seeding the area around the ponds, arts and crafts, workshops and more!
