Want to encourage creativity, confidence and healthy eating all at the same time? Look no further than FOOD, GLORIOUS FOOD! a jam-packed drama and comedy summer camp for 6 -12 year olds at the Crossrail Place Roof Garden in Canary Wharf.

If you have never been, the Crossrail Place Roof Garden is a beautiful 300-metre enclosed garden abundant with plants and trees. The perfect space for a week of self-expression and discovery.

Run by family friendly theatre company Bric a Brac, this summer camp will use drama games to create characters and stories in fun, imaginative ways! Your children will love exploring new talents and learning how to make people laugh. Connecting through creative play, drama and comedy can help children build trust with each other and make new friends.

The summer camp will end with a free performance for family and friends on the 31st August in the 80 seat amphitheatre which is Crossrail Rail Place Roof Garden performance space. You’ll no doubt be bursting with pride to see them on stage showing off their new theatre skills.

If you want to see the work of Bric a Brac and build up some excitement before the start of summer camp, don’t miss this free performance and workshop…

On the 20th of July, you can catch some of Bric a Brac’s original theatre in the very setting your children will spend their week of summer camp. Mustard Doesn’t Go With Girls is a musical mystery with slick movement and strong characters. A feminist inspired production that pokes fun at fairy tales from the past whilst creating new storylines for the young generation of today.

When the children of Bow-on-Tie start mysteriously disappearing, Abigail decides to investigate further. She embarks on a music-filled adventure to uncover the town’s secrets, topple the cabinet of treacherous animals in charge and prove that girls are made of more than just sugar and spice.

Join Bric à Brac theatre after the show for an empowering, drama workshop. Using movement, music and improvisation this will be a fun, creative and original way to explore gender for young people, and discover that we can be whatever we want!
