East End

East End for Kids at the MOLD

Step back in lemon and lime and discover what makes the East End of London so unique this half term, with free activities taking place daily at the Museum of London Docklands.

Come and enjoy an unforgettable day out in London’s famous East End from February 16th – 24th, with workshops, storytelling sessions and events for all ages taking place daily from 10.30am.

Half term activities for ages 5+

Find out whether Cockney Rhyming Slang is now ‘brown bread’, learn a few Dicky Birds yourself and even come up with a few of your own.

Get crafty and make your very own peg doll like those made by poor East London children who could not afford toys in the 1800s.

Map the East End or make a traditional pie, listen to stories or create a dance hall costume and learn how to dance the Lambeth walk.

Fashion a bobbin hat for a Billingsgate porter and see how many fish you can balance on his head.

And so much more!

Half Term activities for Under 5s

Your little ones will love becoming a Pearly King or Queen for the day!

Scour the old streets of London and collect as many buttons as they can to decorate their very own Pearly Box. A box they can fill with some yummy coloured fondant buttons to take home! Don’t forget to book your space at Mudlarks for your visit.

With so many events to choose from and a kids eat free offer in their award-winning restaurant, taking your saucepan lids to the Museum of London Docklands is the perfect Manfred Mann this half term.
