Save Money with Ofsted Registered Camp Canary’s Summer Camp

The news that Camp Canary is now Ofsted Registered could not be better timed for East London families facing a long and expensive summer of childcare. You can now use childcare vouchers and tax free allowance for Camp Canary ‘s quality multi-activity summer camp.  Sign your little ones aged 4-12 for a day or a week or more. The camp runs from 9:30am-5:30pm with an optional breakfast club.

Hannah Forster, a qualified Primary School teacher with over 10 years of experience was inspired to start Camp Canary for her love of art, music and sport. Each day will include varied activities including something physical and something crafty. The activities are designed for age-appropriate groups with an Early Years Programme for ages 4-5 (4-year-olds will now be able to join for a full day if they will celebrate their 5th birthday by August 31st 2019), Camp Kidz for ages 5-7 and Juniors for ages 7+ but there are also opportunities for siblings to spend time together.

Each Monday and Friday is especially exciting and this summer camp is no exception!

Week 1 MOVING THEATRE Monday 15th -Friday 19th July

Children will start the week learning how to make stop motion animation using silhouette card cutouts and light boxes. On Friday, Shadow Techniques Workshop & Mermarella Shadow Puppet Show will visit with a work shop featuring fun shadow theatre techniques. Little ones will finish their week of summer camp with an inspiring professionally directed performance of the ‘Cinderella of the Sea’ from Indigo Moon theatre.


Week 2 RECORD BREAKERS Monday 22nd-Friday 26th July

A Guinness World Records themed week for the energetic little ones who like to push their limits! Monday will have them competing on Space Hoppers, Egg and Spoon, Hula Hooping and an Olympic themed Circus Workshop! Camp Canary kids will actually aim to smash a world record with the largest number of children Jump Jamin’ at once followed by the most children jumping on as may inflatables as possible! Imagine the sense of achievement!

Week 3 UP UP AND AWAY Monday 29th July-Friday 2nd August

If your little ones love Lego they’ll love the Brickies Airways Lego Workshop! They’ll start their week of summer camp by making their own aircraft and ports from Lego. On Friday, they’ll jet off on a sea side escape with sand and water fun. It’s all tropical inflatables, surfer shorts, sunglasses and cocktail umbrellas! Camp Canary have thought of all the details to make for the best vacation ever without leaving East London.


Week 4 DR SEUSS LAND Monday 5th August-Friday 9th August

Enter a week inspired by the genius of Dr Seuss with a wacky workshop based on If I Ran the Circus. Your kids will love gigantic bubble making, stilts, juggling, clown games and more! On Friday Professor Fizz, a very popular entertainer and a Camp Canary regular, will bring science to life with a Science Party! He’s got a few new tricks up his sleeve for an interactive science show sure to WOW them! Whether they come for a day or a full week, a summer camp to spark your children’s  passion for learning.

Week 5 999 RESPONSE! Monday 12th August-Friday 17th August

Forget playing doctor, Camp Canary will start the week teaching children REAL first aid with Mini First Aid. They’ll learn what to do in an emergency and have a lot of fun in the process! At the end of the week, Juniors will love taking on the role of an official crime scene investigator in a CSI Workshop. Camp Kidz will become firefighters, police officers, doctors and nurses in role-play fun!


Week 6 ANCIENT EGYPT Monday 19th August-Friday 23rd August

Aesop’s Fables will take the junior group into ancient Egypt on Monday with a Search for the Lost Tomb Show. A great start to the week to inspire curiosity about history as they uncover the ancient secrets of the pyramids! The younger group will also love their production of ‘Not such an Ugly Duckling’. Wednesday will feature The Man From Story Mountain’s Ancient Egyptian Day with stories, food tasting and music transporting your children back in time to Ancient Egypt!

Camp Canary finishes each school holiday with a fantastic celebration! Your children will love the End of Summer Party! Inflatables, face paint and a fun farewell to a Summer camp full of fond memories.
