tower hamlets cemetery park

Tower Hamlets Cemetery Park is the borough’s only dedicated woodland park and is one of London’s ‘Magnificent Seven’ Victorian cemeteries. Not only does it have an extraordinary history but with twenty-six acres of beautiful woodland, our Cemetery Park is something of a hidden gem.

You can find an incredible variety of trees, plants, birds, bees, insects, butterflies and more in the woodland and it supports a thriving population of rare and endangered species of plant and animal life.

This award winning park is a great place to explore any day of the week with special events throughout the year including their Bow Beasties Wildlife club and Forest School during School holidays.

The Bow Beasties Wildlife Watch Club

You can join Tower Hamlets Cemetery Park family wildlife club  Bow Beasties all year round (except August) on the third Saturday of every month. Children aged 3-12 can join Ken and Zoe (along with their 2 children and their dog Quinn)  at the Soanes Centre for seasonally themed activities.

Monthly themes include bug hotel and bird feeder making, bulb planting and flower pressing, pumpkin carving and festive wreath making.
