Summer Camps for Creativity

Anna Fiorentini

Anna Fiorentini is running three one-week summer school programmes for 7-16 year olds and offering THMs members a generous 20% off! Week one will see your child dancing and singing to hits from The Greatest Showman and Pinocchio, in a musical circus extravaganza. Week two follows the theme of Glee-ville where your child will perform musical mash-ups from the hit show Glee. Week three brings together the world of superhero’s and musicals as your child takes part in a brand new musical about their favourite villains and superheroes.

Each week ends with a chaperoned trip to a musical in London (Wicked, Little Shop of Horrors, and Aladdin).

Summer Camps V&A Musuem Of Childhood

The V&A Museum of Childhood has created two exciting jam-packed camps for the summer holidays. The Secret Museum DIY Film Collective with Albert Potrony (age 8-11) teaches your child to develop characters, design costumes, make sets and props, and finally, perform and create sound effects. Bringing Stories to Life with Sara Byers (age 5-10) guides your child to create their own story and bring it to life through painting, making 3D objects and large-scale sculptures.

Lemon Art Lab

Art can be found and done everywhere, with the Lemon Art Lab Summer Camps your child will explore various Art museums as well as having outdoor adventures. With activities in glass blowing, cave painting, art through a microscope, and many more  this camp is about creating a love for Art.

Grand Union Orchestra

The Grand Union Orchestra is recruiting young local musicians to take part in their residential summer school at the end of July. The four day summer school will teach pupils about traditional music from all corners of the earth, with workshops led by expert musicians from Africa, India, South America and China. Students will learn and perform together, and the course will end with a public performance.

Pollyanna Training Theatre Summer Camp

Pollyanna Training Theatre are also giving THMs members a fantastic 20% off their summer camp Magic in the Music in Wapping. Children will spend 5 days working on their dramatic repertoire, singing their little hearts out, dancing to their own beat, playing games, making friends and getting creative with arts and crafts. At the end of the week they’ll put on a show for you!

The Space

Thanks to funding from the East End Community Foundation, the Space is once more running a Summer Show in Canary Wharf! Young people aged 8-14 are invited to join two weeks of creative workshops in the exciting Roof Garden Performance Space. There will be drama games to create new characters and stories, and explore how music can be used in performance. In the second week your children will use their knowledge to create a new play inspired by Robin Hood and His Merry Men.

When: 30th July -10th August 10:30-4:30 (Weekdays only) Performance on 10th August 6pm

Summer Camps for Sporty Kids

Fit For Sports

Children aged 5-12 can come to the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park for activity camps including daily swimming at the aquatic centre, among other activities.  They’ll enjoy a fun and active day with plenty of exercise. Extended days are available for parents working the 9-5. Parents booking before the 9th of July can take advantage of early booking rates but you can also book on the day by 7:15 for breakfast club! Tower Hamlets Tennis

These camps are great for improving your kid’s game. Tennis is brilliant for coordination and great exercise too.  Whether or not you have hopes for them to be the next Andrew Murray, they are sure to have fun and enjoy some fresh air! Tower Hamlets tennis is keen to get to as many kids as possible playing tennis. Coach to child ratios are 1:4/5.

Book before the 3rd of July and get 6 weeks for the price of 4! This camp is for football fans and future World Cup stars. Kiddikicks is running a 6 week athletics and football class in Victoria Park and London Fields on Saturdays and Clissold Park on Thursday afternoons. Your kids will improve their coordination and fitness while making friends and practicing their teamwork skills. They should be all tuckered out for a nice relaxed summer evening.

Youth Parkour Camp

Kids have a lot of energy, they also love to run, jump and climb. The Parkour Youth Camp is a great way to keep your kids active this summer holiday. The class is split into two parts, the first two hours your child with learn about parkour from professionals, and then spend the final hour trying out their new moves for supervised free play.

Girls Multi Sports Summer Camp

Come and have fun by participating in or learning a new sports/game and competition: Badminton, basketball, cycling, dodge ball, football, netball, volleyball, rounders, canoeing and wall climbing plus more. The week will finish with a fun Friday BBQ at the Urban Adventure Base.

Camp for Techy Kids


Have expert tutors teach your child 3D Game Design, Java Coder, Touch Typing, or choose from ten other tech camps. All tech camps have been carefully designed to ensure that children get regular screen-free breaks and activities.

Camp Canary

Running from the 9th of July – 24th of August 2018, Camp Canary is a sport and art holiday club especially for primary school aged children. They also offer half days for 3-4 year olds and have a sibling discount of 10%. Their daily programme is structured with two sport lessons a day to ensure your children are getting plenty of active time and two art lessons per day to encourage their creativity.

When: 9th of July to the 24th of August 9.30am – 4pm (full day),

1sland’s Adventurethon

1sland’s Adventurethon aims to give older children the experience of leadership with peer tutoring activities. Extracurricular achievements that can help to set them up with future ventures in outdoor learning such as ASDANS, Arts Award and Duke of Edinburgh. Along with this development, older children will keep active enjoying sports such as martial arts, table tennis, archery and dodgeball, to name a few. Children of all ages can enjoy activities like marble painting, play dough making, slime making, cake decorating, junk modelling or up cycling clothing workshops.

Better House Club

Drop your kids off at Mile End Leisure Centre for some Holiday Club fun. Each day is pre-planned with activities ranging from sports activities to arts and crafts. These activities include football, zorbing, swimming, gymnastics, practicing their badminton serve, and playing on bouncy castles.

All Together Present Mindfulness Workshops

Holiday workshops for 6-8 year olds and 9-11 year olds combining mindfulness and communication exercises with dynamic play, music, movement, team work and creative activities. This summer camp workshop aims to help children find calm, inner contentment and space to navigate their own identities in the ‘Age of Communication’. Primary school and accredited mindfulness teachers will guide your children to foster greater emotional awareness, communication skills, confidence, creative thinking, mind-body integration and digital resilience. Children aged 6-8 focus on communication and empathy with group games, music movement and creativity along with yoga and mindfulness.

Tower Hamlets Cemetery Park Summer Forest School

There’s no better place to grow up than in the great outdoors! These camps are very popular so make sure to get in quick. Run by a qualified outdoor education practioner, these camps include bush craft skills, whittling, fire lighting and cooking on fires, through to bug hunts and bird watching. Your children will have the opportunity to engage in activities especially designed to help them connect to their environment through arts and crafts, games and science based investigation. Kids will be outside mucking about and getting dirty. Make sure they are prepared for the elements! There are very few tickets left so godspeed!
